American Idol 7 Finale.

It's official! It's David vs. David on the American Idol 7 Finale.

It's a battle between the two Davids. Archuleta and Cook are my two favorites and I couldn't ask for anything more from American Idol.

I must admit that I didn't enjoy last year's season. In fact, I didn't know any of the Idols last year. But I did enjoy almost all of the performances from this season. I was happy that there's a new rocker in town David Cook, and of course the ever so loveable David Archuleta, a savant balladeer.

I'm so excited to see the finale that I'm thinking of calling in sick. But, I can always watch the replay. I have a week to figure out what I'm gonna do next Thursday. Ideas, anyone?

Jason Castro.

This week's American Idol theme is "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame".

Jason Castro chose to sing the songs of two of the most phenomenal Bobs in music history: Bob Marley's I Shot The Sheriff and Bob Dylan's Tambourine Man.

I thought his first performance was disappointing because he should have made the song work for him (since he and Marley have the same hair), but after seeing his second performance, I knew that the odds of Jason leaving is about 90%.

Maybe I shouldn't be worried knowing that Brooke White experienced the same (forgetting the lyrics). TWICE. So now, I'm hoping that the Vote for the Worst will succeed in helping him stay for one more week.

Idol Gives Back 2008.

I'm currently watching the American Idol special Idol Gives Back for the year 2008. A lot of A-list stars joined to help raise money for a good cause. Here are my few favorite performances:

Teri Hatcher sings with the "Band from TV". The band consists of actors from our favorite TV shows like House, Desperate Housewives, and Heroes. I literally jumped from my seat when I saw Jesse Spencer playing the violin.

Heart sings Barracuda together with Fergie in this awesome performance.

American Idol Top 9 - Songs by Dolly Parton.

This week on American Idol 7 featured songs by Dolly Parton. Here are my favorite performances of the night.

David Archuleta's Smokey Mountain Memories performance gave me the chills.

I also adored Michael John's rendition of It’s All Wrong, But It’s All Right.

It's too bad Ramiele Malubay got booted off American Idol this week. But making it to the Top 9 is not bad at all. That's still something to be proud of.

David Cook - Billie Jean.

David Cook sings Chris Cornell's version of Billie Jean.

Here's Chris Cornell's Unplugged in Sweden version:

It seems like David and I have the same taste in music (we have something in common and now he can marry me!). First it was Hello by Incubus (which I also blogged about on this post) and now this! Although it's a good thing that the judges love what he does but I'm starting to think that he doesn't have his own style. He doesn't come up with his own arrangements like the other idols and yet he takes the credit for it. It's sad. Really. But I still love him. He reminds me of Chris Daughtry, a former idol, and Toby Rand from Rockstar Supernova.

So right now, it's David Cook, David Archuleta, Michael Johns, or Ramiele Malubay for me. I really hope one of these guys win.

David Archuleta Top 12.

David Archuleta's performance on American Idol tonight was disappointing. He forgot the lyrics and the arrangement of the song was wrong wrong wrong! I hope he doesn't get booted off tomorrow. We all know he can do much better.

David Cook Top 16.

I have a new crush and his name is David Cook. I have been watching American Idol for a few weeks now and it was just yesterday that I discovered David. He kinda looks like Toby Rand from Rockstar Supernova.

Here is David singing Lionel Richie's Hello.

It's wonderful but I don't think this is the first time I've heard that version of the song so I opened my WMP and checked. Here is the same song sung by Incubus.

David Archuleta - A Thousand Miles.

I just became David Archuleta's follower so you're gonna see a lot of his videos in this blog. Although I'll probably post only those performances I would want to watch over and over.

David Archuleta Top 20.

I just found out that my favorite male American Idol contestant, David Archuleta, is a Filipino-American. He's young but you can tell that he's gonna go a long way.

Ramiele Malubay Top 24.

Ramiele Malubay is still on her way to being the next American Idol. She sang You Don't Have To Say You Love Me for this week. She DOES have a big voice for a little girl and I likes.

Ramiele Malubay.

Another Filipino joins American Idol. Ramiele Malubay sings Natural Woman.
