In These Arms.

I don't know why some people don't like Bon Jovi but they're a great band. Their song You Give Love A Bad Name has even been featured in Barney's Get Psyched CD. And now, I fell in love with their song from 1994.

The Code, Published.

The creators of the hit sitcom, How I Met Your Mother finally published "The Bro Code".

Click here to listen to an excerpt.

Here's what people have to say about the book (according to Barney's blog of course).

"This is the finest piece of literature ever written. Now will you give me my phone back, Barney?"
--Theodore M.

"This is by far the most disgusting, disparaging, stomach churning thing I've ever read, which means a lot if you've ever seen one of my husband's grocery lists."
--Lily A.

"You'll howl... with delight!"
--Stephen King

"Stinson uses language like a scalpel, digging though our deepest emotional tissue to expose the very core of the human psyche."
--Mike Tyson

"Finally! A book worth reading!"
--God

"Stinson beat me to it."
--J.D. Salinger

"Jefferson's out, Stinson's in!"
--Rachel M. (President - Mount Rushmore National Preservation Society)

"An entertaining beach read."
--Pope Benedict XVI

"Ewww."
--Robin S.

"Out of this world!"
--Alien (creature from another planet)

"I'm sorry what?"
--Maya Angelou

"I have a hundred words for 'snowflake' but only one word for 'The Bro Code,' - awesome!"
--Some Eskimo maybe

"This book makes me want to rethink my career."
--Mark (the dude who wrote the Gospel)

The Bro Code.

I know I should be updating the TN blog but this is just too good not to share on my own blog. As I've mentioned on a previous blog entry, I am so in love with Barney Stinson of the hit TV show, How I Met Your Mother. And, as an avid follower of his teachings, I would like to know why he acts the way he does.

I found this, The Bro Code, on Barney's blog posted on the CBS website.

I don't know where he got this but I think it's right on! And although he's a jerk (sometimes), I know that he means well and he loves his friends. Now that I think about it, I think Barney is like Michael Scott of The Office in some ways:

  1. Both wear suits.
  2. Both love hot girls.
  3. Both have loads of crazy ideas.
  4. Both want to be someone's best friend (Barney-Ted, Michael-Ryan).
  5. Both are heartbroken (Barney-Shannon, Michael-Jan).

I'm gonna think of other similarities. But for the meantime, I think I'll stop obsessing about Barney and focus on my life.

The Lemon Law.

I love Barney Stinson from the CBS TV show How I Met Your Mother. He's this annoying geeky horndog played by Neil Patrick Harris. He loves to hit on women, go to strip clubs, and play laser tag. I am so into his character that I even did a research about this thing Barney calls The Lemon Law.

The Lemon Law may be invoked if, at any point during the initial five minutes (300 seconds) of a first date, either party deems the union hopeless and elects to abort said date in the interest of time and/or self-respect. Receipt of this card herebey absolves the Giver from any "hard feelings" or "questions" from the Lemon Lawyee relevant to the discontinuance of the date which may be terminated for any reason including, but not limited to: tawdry attire, breath, homeliness, misplaced/excessive body hair, Long Island accent, Public School Education, bad credit, no credit, suspicious odor(s).

Addenda:
(I) Giver may waive the Lemon Law should Lemon Lawyee immediately consent to a no-stings attached "stand", duration of which shall be no longer than one (1) night.

(II) The terms of this agreement are non exclusively transferable in deference to the emergence of the Lemon Law as a "thing".

(III) In the unlikely event of a simultaneous invocation, parties shall enact one (1) "High Five", with neither party officially assuming credit for the Lemon Law issuance.
